This expression combines peat and sherry. It is the 2nd version of Toiteach, besides its name means "Toiteach n°2" in Gaelic.
Let's Taste It :
Thick smoke, sticky peat. Earth, tar, soot. Behind, the sherry influence is discreet. Morello cherries, blackberries. Campfire, grilling bacon. Wet tree bark. Gradually the sherry becomes more insistent, greedy, almost syrupy. Blackcurrant. Caramel and cranberry on the palate, apricot compote, but the spices rise very quickly, pepper and cumin, cherries, olives, quite strong finish, very long, charcoal, mossy earth, wood shavings, elderberry, gravel.
In Short,
A perfect success. This is the one to buy among all Bunnahabhain's peated versions.
