The company founded by Andrea Ferrari is already celebrating its 10th anniversary, and to mark the occasion they are releasing three special bottlings, all of them distilled in 2013. Among them, this Clynelish benefits from ageing in a Bourbon Hogshead to allow the distillate to express itself. 391 bottles were filled.

Let's Taste It :
The nose is very waxy, especially beeswax, but also candle wax. Nicely full-bodied, cereal-like and iodised, with light vanilla, green apple and grainy smoke. Some other fruits in the background, pears, peaches. Hints of salt. Very creamy on the palate, pastry cream, chantilly and genoise, custard, mirabelle pulp, cheese cake, slightly aggressive spices, cloves and nutmeg. Long, lemony finish, with notes of green plants, herbaceous and fruity at the same time. Discreet exotic fruits. Mango juice.

In Short,
An excellent Clynelish, very close to being perfect, it just needs a bit more punch in the finish. It's really typical of the distillery, you can't help but recognise it, its identity is obvious. I recommend buying it, especially for lovers of this distillery, provided you can find it at the right price, which is no mean feat.
