Take the Quarter Cask and add a sherry finish, and you get Triple Wood. More or less. Launched in Travel Retail, this edition was so successful that it was included in the Core Range.

Let's Taste It :
Coal, bitumen and nails, that's the Laphroaig routine. This time, it's counterbalanced by a lovely sweet sherry nuance. Red fruits, pomegranate, blackberries, leather, apricots and grapes. Thick peat and tar dominate. Intense, very fine smoke, you've got your head in the fireplace. Woody influence. A medicinal touch. Very fine balance. In the background, a hint of vanilla from the bourbon casks, but discreet. Warm, suave, oily on the palate, where the fruits blend with the peat, blueberries and various berries, strawberry sweets, followed by a charcoal, full, long, slightly caramelised finish. Pepper, coffee, melting chocolate. It scrapes the asphalt.

In Short,
It's really very good, and at an attractive price. A classic. You need to buy one as soon as possible, no questions asked..
Score : 87
