Since 2010, Bruichladdich has regularly released a vintage edition made from organic barley, without the use of pesticides, herbicides or chemical fertilisers. This is the 8th vintage, produced in 18,000 units, and the barley was harvested on Islay at Mid Coul Farm.

Let's Taste It :
Cereals, slightly damp earth, a few weeds, limestone, it's like caressing humus, barley swaying in the wind, a grain of wheat, a tree leaf tearing under your hand. A field in wet weather. A very peasant profile, little peasant. Light plums. On the palate, very honeyed, just a hint of lemon and vanilla, white fruits, nice spices, nutmeg, cardamom, turmeric, dry on the finish, then once again earthy, leafy, vegetal, deep, almost charcoal. Clay. Acorns, tree bark.

In Short,
A superb, very herbal nose, and honey on the palate. A great success, a little more expensive than the Islay Barley but well worth it.
Score : 86
