Let's Taste It :
Thick smoke and limestone peat, damp sand, fine iodised salt. A winter beach in fine weather. Gentle lemon influence, with lime, a zest of grapefruit and exotic fruits. Dry, deep earth, roots, ginger, coconut. Very sweet and spicy on the palate, with chilli, cayenne pepper, star anise. It's warm, intense, with blood orange, cooked apples and chocolate-covered pears. Devastating finish, very long, earth, charcoal, cola, varnished wood. Some fir thorns, sandalwood.

In Short,
I think this is an excellent expression of the Octomore Series .1. In general I'm not a fan of this series, I find it too simple, too influenced by Bourbon. This is not the case here, it's very solid, more on lime and exotic fruits. The price is almost fair, which is rare for an Octomore.
Score : 90
