Bruichladdich has been bringing out this vintage edition annually since 2012, produced using barley grown on Islay. Here, the barley comes from six different farms, and this is the 7th Islay Barley Batch.

Let's Taste It :
Like the Classic Laddie, it starts with a hint of astringency, then the cereals emerge, but it's also very fruity, with melon, grapes, mango, an ounce of lemon and vanilla to support it all. There's a touch of earthiness and whitewash, and the balance is struck between sweetness and earth. On the palate, it's creamy, delicate, quite pastry-like, easy-drinking, almost floral, it's like drinking rosewater. It goes down smoothly, and the finish is long and slightly mentholated, aniseed-flavoured, with a touch of earth and chives.

In Short,
Once again, a very interesting expression, both greedy and cereal-like. Don't hesitate to buy one.
Score : 85
