To complement the Elgin Heritage range of older Glen Moray bottlings, the distillery is launching this 21-year-old in August 2019, aged for 20 years in bourbon casks, then finished for a year in port casks. Elgin is the city in which the distillery is located.

Let's Taste It :
Very rich nose of wood and red fruits, fig, damson, ripe apricot, but also pumpkin, salted butter caramel, crushed blueberries, white currants, blackberries and a few raspberries. Behind, cereals, barley, wheat, muesli, rich, damp earth. Very fine balance. The palate is creamy, with a whisper of vanilla, varnished wood, grenadine, molasses, a pinch of lychee, quinces, spices, paprika, turmeric and saffron. Once again, very rich and varied. Nice, strong finish, on wood and heather, cola, a few floral hints, a splash of lemon. Biscuit.

In Short,
I really enjoyed it. And then when I saw the price, I lost it. It's a great success, complex, fruity, smooth, creamy and solid. But it's not worth the price it's currently selling for. Besides, it's much cheaper on the secondary market, which says a lot.
Score : 88
